A winning combination of quality, durability and comprehensive aftersales support has led European logistics provider Sealane Freight to buy 18 new Schmitz Cargobull curtainsider trailers.
Ten of the new trailers have been fitted with fixed aluminium roofs and steel corner posts.
A further eight are fitted with Schmitz Cargobull’s Safety Roof system, which can be raised up either on one or both sides, providing easier access for mechanical handling equipment during loading.
Alistair Caldwell, Commercial Director at Sealane’s parent company Star Cargo plc, says: “Our payloads don’t get damaged in transit because we specify tough trailers and we know from experience we can rely on Schmitz Cargobull equipment.”
Sealane Freight operates across Europe, and the support that Schmitz Cargobull provides through its 1,700-strong Service Partner Network is invaluable.
All service partners can provide emergency response, repairs and parts sales, and have teams who have been specifically trained to maintain, repair and optimise Schmitz Cargobull equipment.
Caldwell adds: “We are certainly not expecting to have any maintenance issues however, as Schmitz Cargobull is the only trailer manufacturer that can offer a pan-European Service Partner network – we need that as we never know when, or where, we might need support.”
Sealane Freight is one of seven businesses owned by Star Cargo plc, a group of British-based companies which have celebrated 35 years of trading. Sealane Freight works with more than 1,000 of the UK and Europe’s manufacturers, importers and exporters across a broad range of industries, including food and drink, IT and technology and print and packaging.
