Electric commercial vehicle innovators Tevva will be showcasing how their latest technologies can bring innovation to the logistics sector next month, after signing as gold partners for the Freight Transport Association’s upcoming Future Logistics Conference. The one-day conference and exhibition, to be held at the Warwickshire Event Centre on 14 November 2018, will shine the spotlight on new technologies and other developments which will shape the logistics sector of the future.
“Logistics as a sector is changing rapidly,” says Will Reeves , FTA’s Sponsorship and Advertising Manager, “and the industry of the future will look nothing like the current model in terms of vehicles or methods of delivery. Tevva’s proposition – production of the ‘world’s greenest trucks’ – which combines a commercially viable approach to extend battery mileage with a lower environmental impact, is perfectly in tune with the move towards low-carbon alternatives to current fleets, and the challenges faced by operators in light of the introduction of clean air zones nationwide. We look forward to hearing their thoughts on the 21st century’s solutions to the logistics challenges of the future and how the sector can adapt and modify behaviours to keep Britain trading both at home and overseas.”
Tevva joins platinum partners the Transport Exchange Group and silver partners Bott in supporting the event for 2019, which will combine an extensive exhibition area with three stages hosting speakers from a wide selection of backgrounds, including academics, industry leaders and technologists.
David Thackray , Sales & Marketing Director at Tevva, says: “Mass adoption of electric trucks that will benefit air quality, reduce GHG emissions and reduce fossil fuel dependency can only happen when those electric trucks are at least equally as practical and as cost-effective to operate as the old diesels. Tevva trucks beat traditional diesels on total cost of ownership and offer cash flow benefits from month one. Simultaneously, Tevva trucks can do absolutely anything a polluting diesel can do whilst offering at least 150km zero emission range.”
FTA’s Future Logistics Conference and Exhibition takes place at the Warwickshire Event Centre on 14 November 2018 and offers visitors the chance to hear from thought leaders, investors and innovators, as well as understanding future challenges which will face the sector and the factors which will drive change. Efficient logistics is vital to keep Britain trading, directly having an impact on more than seven million people employed in the making, selling and moving of goods. With Brexit, new technology and other disruptive forces driving change in the way goods move across borders and through the supply chain, logistics has never been more important to UK PLC. A champion and challenger, FTA speaks to government with one voice on behalf of the whole sector, with members from the road, rail, sea and air industries, as well as the buyers of freight services such as retailers and manufacturers.
