Partners Recognised For Supporting Van Excellence Scheme.

To acknowledge their unwavering support in promoting Van Excellence to all sectors of industry, the Van Excellence Partners for 2019 were presented with celebratory plaques at the recent Van Excellence Honours awards which took place in Birmingham on 7 February.

Will Reeves , FTA’s Sponsorship and Advertising Manager, presented 2019 plaques to Van Excellence Platinum Partner Mercedes-Benz Vans, with Andy Eccles receiving the plaque; and to the Van Excellence Gold Partners Stephen Turner from Bott Ltd, Tony Bowen from Brigade Electronics, Chris Mangan from Hertz UK, Andy Hill from Lex Autolease and Andy Edwards from Quartix.

The FTA Van Excellence scheme is an industry-led initiative which promotes the safe operation of vans, celebrates operators that demonstrate excellence and represents the interests of the van industry. Each partner is from a different service sector within the van industry and supports the scheme in all its initiatives and by promoting best practice in van operations.

Will Reeves said: “We are recognising organisations whose funding is vital to the success of the Van Excellence scheme. Their support helps to raise the profile of the scheme to the van industry by helping fund the Van Excellence Operational Briefings, the Driver of the Year contest and the new van awards called the Van Excellence Honours. Without their vital support, the scheme could not continue to improve standards and increase compliance across the vans sector, and the reputation and skills of the partners set the gold standard for the Van Excellence scheme which the rest of the sector aspires to.”
