Everyone at Paneltex is delighted to acknowledge the achievements of the Company founder and Managing Director, Chris Berridge, who has been recognised in the King’s Birthday Honours list with the Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for services to Business, to Exports and to the Environment.
This award follows 33 years of tireless dedication to building a sustainable business in the manufacture of insulated and specialised vehicles, always with a focus on innovation and support for the requirements of every customer.
“I’m humbled and honoured by the recognition, for which I’m truly grateful,” said Chris. “I do however feel the credit for this award should be shared with Jane, our family, and the great team at Paneltex, all of whom make such a contribution on a daily basis to the continued success of the company. I would like to thank those who put me forward for this award, whoever they are, and will do my best to live up to their expectations.”
Paneltex was founded in Hull in 1991 and Chris has led the business ever since, driving growth in UK manufacturing and exports. Today, Paneltex is a world-leading temperature-controlled vehicle body builder and converter, with over 650 employees producing hundreds of vehicle bodies and cold storage systems every week.
