Star Refrigeration Engineers Demonstrate Thought Leadership For TCS&D Show.

Industry leaders Star Refrigeration take centre stage to celebrate World Refrigeration Day at the TCS&D Show

Top engineers from Star Refrigeration, one of the most renowned industrial refrigeration companies in the UK, will be guests of honour at the TCS&D Show on the coolest day of the year. Star has announced it will officially sponsor World Refrigeration Day on 26th June 2019, which coincides with the Temperature Controlled Storage & Distribution Show taking place on 25th and 26th June in Peterborough.

Now in its 5th year, the TC&D Show is a two-day long conference and exhibition at the East of England Arena. In addition to sponsoring World Refrigeration Day, Star will be exhibiting at stand B24 and speaking to delegates sharing industry knowledge with two presentations as part of the conference programme.

Aimed at the frozen and chilled foods sector and pharmaceutical industry, the event promotes innovation and networking. Featuring a demonstration area, a World Refrigeration Day Village and four separate seminar arenas, the TCS&D Show is a highly anticipated event for the refrigeration industry. World Refrigeration Day is new for 2019 and will launch at the TCS&D Show with the help from the Institute of Refrigeration (IOR) and the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Industry Board (ACRIB). The date has been chosen as it makes the birthday of Lord Kelvin, an acclaimed thermodynamic engineer who described the theoretical basis for heat pumps in 1852.

David Wallace on behalf of Star Refrigeration said, “We are thrilled to be involved in the launch of World Refrigeration Day as an official sponsor. The organisers of the TCS&D Show are truly embracing the global awareness campaign, hosting a series of workshops from the IOR and ACRIB, and even live-streaming seminars internationally.

“As with all exhibitions we attend, representatives from Star will be raising awareness of the most common issues affecting the temperature controlled storage and distribution industry and presenting measures for energy consumption reduction as well as cost-friendly, effective low charge ammonia and CO2 solutions”.

Star Refrigeration will be providing seminars on two important subjects: minimising operational costs from a customer perspective, and natural refrigeration solutions including carbon dioxide and low charge ammonia. The talks will be giving by technical engineers David Wallace – Director of Sales -, and Aiden Perks – Regional Sales Manager -. Star has recently successfully lowered refrigeration costs for a number of customers by measuring, tracking constant performance data and analysing their refrigeration plants. These cost saving programmes will be discussed during the presentation along with other practical ways to reduce running costs and carbon emissions including building planning, construction, refrigeration system design, controls, maintenance, monitoring and system optimisation.
