TCS&D’s Cold Chain Hub moves to NEC in 2024

TCS&D’s Cold Chain Hub – the UK’s only dedicated event for the cold storage and distribution sector – will relocate to the NEC in Birmingham next year. Taking place on 9 & 10 October, TCS&D’s Cold Chain Hub 2024 will showcase innovation from across the cold supply chain.

The event is once again organised by the team behind TCS&D magazine, the UK’s leading publication for the temperature-controlled supply chain. “We’ve listened to feedback from exhibitors and visitors,” explains Martyn Cogan, organiser of Cold Chain Hub, “that our most recent event was too far south, so we have made the decision to move the event to the NEC in Birmingham. As well as being centrally located, the NEC has excellent road and rail links, easy access to Birmingham Airport and a huge hotel offering.”

TCS&D Awards to be held concurrently

The TCS&D team have also decided to hold the annual TCS&D Awards – now in their 11th year – alongside the show once again, which is expected to increase footfall further. The prestigious TCS&D Awards Dinner, which celebrates innovation and excellence in the cold chain in a variety of categories, will take place on Wednesday 9 October at the National Motorcycle Museum, located opposite the NEC.

A showcase for innovation and sustainability

With the theme of ‘Sustainability Solutions for the Cold Chain’, TCS&D’s Cold Chain Hub 2024 will showcase a diverse range of exhibitors – from cold store constructors, temperature-controlled operators and rental/contract hire specialists to suppliers of protective clothing, temperature-monitoring solutions and refrigerated vehicles. A large outside area will also be available to accommodate the latest innovations in portable cold stores and refrigerated trailers, rigids and panel vans, including electric vehicles. In addition, TCS&D’s Cold Chain Hub 2024 will host the next meeting of the Women in Cold Chain initiative.

“Moving TCS&D’s Cold Chain Hub to the NEC is a really exciting development,” comments Martyn Cogan. “With a strategic location and extremely professional staff, we’re delighted to make the NEC our home, and the feedback we’ve received so far from industry colleagues has been brilliant.”
