TIP FBB&G At It Again After Smashing Target Last Year.

For the sixth year running TIP’s ‘Fat Bottomed Boys & Girls’ will be looking to raise money for worthy community causes as the team embark on an epic 3-day charity bike ride across Portugal in May.

The team, consisting of approximately 50 TIP staff, key customers and suppliers from across the transport industry will be looking to break new records and raise funds for two extremely worthy charitable causes – the Stoke-based charity Donna Louise Trust, who provide care for terminally ill children and their families and the Christie NHS Foundation Trust, who manage Christie’s Hospital, one of the largest cancer treatment centres of its type in Europe and based in Manchester.

Last year, TIP’s 50th year of business, the team of 50 cyclists tackled an arduous route that started at in Barcelona and finished at the iconic Mestalla stadium in Valencia.

Dubbed TIP’s Spanish Inquisition, the 400 kms route was extremely challenging (for some more than others!) and we were delighted to have smashed the sponsorship target set, raising more than £67,000 for the Donna Louise Trust.

With your support, TIP FBB&G have now raised over £250,000 for various charitable causes.

The trip this year will take the team from Faro to Lisbon and will total approximately 400 km’s across the three days. Team members, if you haven’t started training yet … well you should have!
